Our preferred subcontractors are professionals who can take on niche projects to make sure your unique situation is handled with the utmost care, professionalism, and precision. We work with the best of the best and would never bring in a subcontractor who doesn’t meet our highest standards. When you choose EcoSafe as your environmental general contractor, we oversee the project from start to finish, reducing errors, liabilities, and unforeseen issues.

      We are a certified small business, local business and woman-owned enterprise (WBE) in the City of Kansas City, MO and a WBE in the States of Kansas and Missouri. EcoSafe and our inspectors and industrial hygienists are professionally licensed and or certified to work within the asbestos, lead, mold and hazardous materials industries across the states of Missouri, Kansas, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Nebraska, Iowa, Illinois, Colorado and/or Texas.     1. What is asbestos, and why is it dangerous?
      Asbestos is a naturally occurring mineral commonly used in building materials. Its fibers, when airborne, can cause severe respiratory issues and diseases like mesothelioma.

    2. How do you test for asbestos?
      We collect samples and use techniques like phase contrast microscopy (PCM) for air monitoring and analysis. We send bulk building materials and specialized air samples to a 3rd party laboratory.

    3. Do you provide asbestos abatement?
      As an experienced environmental general contractor and consulting firm, we oversee asbestos abatement projects ,working with and/or subcontracting licensed abatement professionals. Our role is to reduce owner liability and building occupant exposure, while ensuring they comply with all environmental safety regulations and follow all required work practices.

    1. Why is lead-based paint (LBP) testing important?
      Lead exposure, especially in children, can cause serious health issues, including developmental delays and neurological damage.

    2. What methods do you use for lead-based paint testing?
      We perform surface sampling, dust wipe sampling, water sampling, soil sampling, and comprehensive inspections to identify and assess lead contamination. When conducting realtime LBP XRF surveys, our team of trained and experienced lead risk assessors and inspectors only use the newest, highest performing standard in XRF analyzers, utilizing the industry’s leading XRF analyzer, the SciAps X-550.

      We work with experienced subcontractors to ensure safe and effective lead removal. We have very high standards for who we work with and who we allow to represent EcoSafe. All of our subcontractors are vetted for not only experience, but also for the highest client satisfaction. Just like with any abatement, our role is to reduce owner liability and building occupant exposure, ensuring all abatement is following required environmental safety regulations and all required work practices.
